I'm a painter based in Northern California, working primarily in acrylics. My work is drawn from the landscapes and quiet moments I encounter — a trail winding through wildflower-covered hills, the way afternoon light hits the side of a building, or a simple object on a table that catches my eye.
I paint from life whenever I can, setting up outdoors to capture the colors and atmosphere of a place directly. There's something about being present in a landscape while painting it that translates into the work — a warmth and immediacy that's hard to replicate from photographs alone.
When I'm not painting en plein air, I work from my studio, often returning to subjects that stayed with me — still lifes, interiors, and the architecture of the places I've lived. Each painting is an attempt to hold onto a moment and share it with others.
